Summer camp with a difference
Camp Kindle, near Water Valley, offers children from across the province living with or recovering from cancer the chance to spend a week away at camp with their siblings. The focus is on having fun and escaping the every day stress of living with an illness. The camp offers a state of the art climbing and ropes course, archery and field games. Thanks to a recent $8 million raised, there is new housing, a medical facility, a kitchen/dining hall and a new water treatment plant. Camp officials celebrated the official re-opening of the camp on July 13. Photos by Noel West/Mountain View Gazette
