Energy production capacity lower than reported in article

Re: “Peaker plant proposed for former Champion hay site” by Julie Bertand, Feb. 7.

Thank you for the coverage in your Feb. 7 edition regarding Constellation Energy’s potential development of a gas-fired power plant in Mountain View County.

I wanted to make one correction however. The proposed plant would be a two-unit simple-cycle facility that can produce 95 megawatts of electricity, not the 1,090 megawatts quoted in the story.

We look forward to working with local residents on this valuable project that could help meet growing energy demands in the area.
