Developers do not speak for all county taxpayers

Re: “Proposed $500 utility rate would hurt Netook Crossing,” Letter to the Editor by Herb Styles and Terry Johnston, March 13.

I trust that the ambiguous manner in which Herb Styles and Terry Johnston chose to sign their letter in the latest issue of your newspaper (“Netook developers and MVC taxpayers”) is not meant to convey that they speak for ALL MVC taxpayers, as that is certainly not the case.

To many of us in the farming community, that entire development, taking out of production such valuable farmland, is a travesty.
