A 61-year-old woman charged after her husband was shot and killed on their Sundre-area property in December 2010 will be going to trial next March.

Heather Wilson Duncan faces a charge of second-degree murder in the death of 68-year-old Barry Alexander Duncan.

The accused was arrested shortly after she called 911 on the evening of Dec. 10, 2010. Barry Duncan was found dead in the house, south of Bergen.

On May 25, a tentative date of March 5, 2013 was set for the accused’s Court of Queen’s Bench jury trial. A pre-trial conference will be held Jan. 11, 2013 to confirm the trial date.

The accused, who has been released on bail pending the trial, was ordered to stand trial following a preliminary hearing in Didsbury in March.
