Woman pleads guilty in men’s death

A Sundre-area woman changed following a motor vehicle crash more than two years ago that killed two men has reportedly pleaded guilty to two counts of dangerous driving causing death and one count of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

Jennifer Black entered the pleas in Calgary Court of Queen’s Bench on Monday.

The crash occurred north of Sundre on Highway 22 at Twp. Rd. 320 on April 5, 2015.

Perry Vollmer, 57, and Brian Schrader, 65, both from Sundre, died at the scene.

At the time of the crash the men were in the rear of the truck. Two females also in the vehicle, including the accused, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Black will be sentenced in January.
